Facilities
At Barley Twist we offer work based training in catering and horticulture for adults with a learning disability. We offer conference buffets, and training in all aspects of food preparation.
We also offer off site food services and ensure that all members of our training co-operative are included in all decision making.
Our horticulture project provides gardening opportunities both on site at the Ashleigh Centre and we travel to Heston Lodge in Benfleet and Canvey Island to support in the maintenance of the gardens at both of these sites. We use the vegetables and herbs grown in our horticulture project in our kitchens.
All profits are reinvested back into Essex Cares to develop and improve the service we offer our customers. By using us you are supporting disadvantaged adults to acquire the skills and experience to achieve further independence.
