At the Bookrest Café at Brentwood Library we train individuals in skills that lead to paid employment.
As a part of our team, we teach practical skills in producing hot drinks from a commercial coffee machine as well customer service, money handling and health and safety.
Our Bookrest Cafes are based within Essex libraries; we currently have Cafes at Basildon, Clacton and Colchester as well as here at Brentwood.
We are passionate about reducing discrimination and promoting equal opportunities in the community. All profits are reinvested back into Essex Cares to develop and improve the service we offer our customers. By using us you are supporting disadvantaged adults to acquire the skills and experience to achieve further independence.
