Facilities

Saffron Walden is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

The Saffron Walden Centre was purpose built in 1992 for adults with a learning disability. Saffron Walden is an historic town, which is set in a picturesque and rural part of West Essex within undulating hills and valleys. All our customers have ‘Person Centered Action Plans’ which identify their wishes and gives them a choice of community venues to attend and Centre based activities.

The building has many rooms for customer's use including:

  • A sensory room
  • Café and kitchen
  • Training kitchen
  • Large room for various activities including dance, music, drama, bingo.

Cost

Prices for sessions vary depending on the level of support required for each individual.

We can offer morning and afternoon sessions, as well as full days.

Prices range from £50 for a full days support in a large group, up to £100 per day  for 1-1 support, with £20ph for Personal Care requiring two staff members.
