Support in the community
For many people independence means still being able to do every day things such as popping to the shops or meeting up with friends to enjoy activities together - our community services in Essex can help you to do just that.
We run a large number of Day Centres for elderly people, adults with mental health conditions and adults with physical or sensory impairments. If you cannot find a Day Centre close by that you would like to visit, we can come to your home or you can join friends for a morning or afternoon at a host carer's home.
We also run a range of services to support adults with a learning disability. Our Community Inclusion sites are a place where you can get together and enjoy the day with friends doing crafts, games and other activities together, as well as get support to access local amenities.
Linked Employment is our employment service which specialises in placing people with disabilities into jobs. If you aren’t quite ready for the step into employment, we also run several social enterprises which can provide you with work experience and skills in things such as catering and horticulture, ready for paid employment in the future.
