Equipment Service - What we do
The Essex Equipment Service is a UK-leading NHS and local authority partnership. Through several business units it delivers a full range of aids to daily living, adaptations to homes, medical equipment and consumables throughout Essex. Making more than 100,000 deliveries each year from an extensive refurbishment and warehousing facility at Colchester we really do 'Deliver Independence'. With a range of core products nearly 1,000 in number and over 6,000 lines altogether we have enormous knowledge of the market and the power to deliver.
At present the Equipment Service is unable to supply direct to the public, it receives orders from Health and Social Care professionals for items which are provided by Essex County Council, the NHS and some other Essex local authorities free to qualifying Services Users. To access our equipment at present you will need to contact Essex County Council.
In the future we aim to develop a catalogue of items which will be available for sale or on loan to anyone with a need at very competitive prices. In addition, within our operation we already have a skilled team of installers, experienced in all types of equipment delivery and in making adaptations to homes. We carry out everything from minor works, such as grab rails and raised toilet seats to full wet room or ceiling track hoist installations. In the future we plan to develop a range of services offering these installations and adaptations direct to the public. We hope to become a trusted partner of those in need, able to assess the need, make recommendations and then, if requested, to personally deliver and fit the solution. Delivering Independence is not just a phrase, it is what we do.
