HomeSafe - helping you live independently

Are you or a loved one struggling to remain living independently at home, or need support to access your community more?

HomeSafe can help you remain living independently in your own home and local community. We can help adults who are privately funding care by arranging, coordinating and delivering a whole range of services for you through a single point of contact in a fast and hassle-free way.

HomeSafe services include:

  • Aids and Adaptations – aids that help you feel more safe and secure in your own home such as grab rails, personal alarms and perching stools
  • Home Support - services that are designed to support your independence including help and support with personal care (washing and dressing), meal preparation, domestic tasks (laundry cleaning, shopping), mobility and health related tasks
  • Active Life – support to help you get out more in your local community, meet new people and discover new hobbies and interests
  • Home Help – tasks carried out on your behalf such as gardening, shopping and cleaning that you may no longer be able to manage yourself

HomeSafe offers the following benefits:

  • Free assessment by a qualified assessor, with no obligation to purchase
  • Speed of service (assessments within 4 working days of initial enquiry)
  • A broad range of products & support arranged, co-ordinated & delivered  through one organisation, making life easier
  • Assessment, fast delivery, installation & guidance on Aids & Adaptations
  • A buy back option, worth 20% of the original purchase price, available on some Aids & Adaptations (terms & conditions apply)
  • Care & support tailored to your individual needs & provided at times which fit your requirements
  • You pay for the time we spend with you, not the time it takes us to travel to you!
  • Free taster sessions at our day centres – try before you buy!
  • Support services can also be purchased as one off sessions, perhaps as a gift for a loved one

HomeSafe services are currently available throughout Mid Essex including Chelmsford, Maldon and Braintree, endorsed by a number of GP surgeries, Community Nursing Teams and Broomfield Hospital.

Call our helpline on 0845 835 0150 to find out more and to arrange your free assessment which is usually within four days of speaking with us, or email homesafe@essexcares.org
